WORK ON FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS AND DECENT WORKING CONDITIONS
The Transparency Act aims to promote businesses' respect for human rights and decent working conditions, and to ensure public access to information. Here you can read how Breach works with the requirements of the Transparency Act.
We at Breach have committed to acting in accordance with the law and contributing to transparency and respect for human rights and decent working conditions. In accordance with the Transparency Act, we carry out due diligence assessments that are in line with OECD guidelines. These assessments help us identify and assess actual and potential negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions related to our business operations, products, services, and supply chains. Based on the due diligence assessments, we implement necessary measures to stop, prevent, or limit such negative consequences.
Due diligence assessments at Breach are based on OECD guidelines:

We expect our suppliers to have high ethical standards, and we expect all our suppliers to operate in accordance with our own internal ethical guidelines. We expect our suppliers and partners to respect human rights in the same way as Breach, throughout their value chain when they perform work or deliver goods to us. This is also described in our general ethical guidelines when entering into agreements. Breach AS is a parent company with ownership interests in four other organizations/sub-units. It is in this company that most goods and services are traded that may carry a risk of human rights violations and indecent working conditions. The company works, in line with the rest of the group, continuously with the detection and follow-up of risk of violations.
Stopping, preventing, or reducing negative impact involves managing findings from the mapping in a good way. The company's most significant negative impact on people, society, and the environment is prioritized first. Actual negative impact that the company causes or contributes to must be stopped, prevented, and/or reduced. This involves developing and implementing plans and routines to manage risk, and may require changes in established purchasing routines.
Information
In accordance with Section 5 of the Transparency Act, we publish a report of our due diligence assessments. This report includes a general description of our organization, area of operation, policies and routines for handling actual and potential negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. We will also inform about actual negative consequences and risks we have identified through our due diligence assessments. This information is updated and published by September 1st each year. The account will be made available on our websites.
We have anchored the work on human rights and decent working conditions in internal guidelines and in the board. The Transparency Act gives everyone the right to ask businesses for information on how they handle negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
